About Gordon Shields, MD
A native of Maryland, Dr. Shields received his undergraduate degree from Samford University and his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2005.
Dr. Shields is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolargyngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
He has been in practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama since 2005. Dr. Shields provides ear, nose and throat care to adult and pediatric patients. His particular areas of practice interest include the medical and surgical treatment of sinusitis, pediatric ENT, allergies, nasal obstruction, snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, and the treatment of acute and chronic ear problems like infection, hearing loss and vertigo.
